Katy Phillips
Swim Wild Academy Instructor
I’m originally from Southampton but relocated to Cornwall 2 years ago after many years of dreaming about it. I came here on holiday a lot as a child, have enjoyed many cornish adventures in our van and got married here.
I work in a GP surgery as a paramedic practitioner. After 20 years of working front line in the ambulance service as a paramedic, coming away from shift work has enabled me to pursue my dream of being a swimming teacher. My experience so far has given me such satisfaction and delight in seeing how people progress. It’s so rewarding to witness.
I am a qualified scuba diver, freediver and a very bad surfer! I love to swim, inside and out and believe it’s a life skill that everyone should have. I also enjoy travelling, running and yoga.
