Ross Christophers

Swim Wild Academy Instructor

Originally from Cornwall, I have been a swim teacher for 8 years and have a passion for water safety and skill development. I try to create a positive and supportive learning environment so the children can thrive in the water, while also enjoy themselves along the way. When planning my lessons, I take care in assessing the children’s needs and what they need to improve going forward.

Being a swim teacher really gives me a sense of achievement. Especially when a child goes from not swimming at all then progresses through the stages and becomes very competent in all aspects of swimming! I really enjoy putting my time and effort into giving children the best chance to progress and be the best version of themselves.

A bit about me! I have spent most years in Cornwall but have also completed 2 seasons over in Bordeaux, France, where I was a Lifeguard. Going abroad, seeing new places and discovering different ways of life are a real passion of mine! Outside of the water world, I love spending time with family and friends and playing a range of sports.
