Charlotte Francis
Founder & Lead Instructor
Originally from Stoke on Trent I am a Level 2 Swimming Instructor with 15 years’ experience of teaching swimming to both Children and adults.
Having lived in London for 6 years I realised in 2018 that city life was no longer for me prompting a move to Falmouth in the same summer, the draw of the beautiful Cornish coast line was too much to resist. Living in Falmouth gave me the opportunity to do all of those things like surfing, paddle boarding and sea swimming that I had previously thought could only be enjoyed on holidays.
In the past 5 years I have been working on the RNLI & Swim England’s Swim Safe programme teaching children essential open water safety skills. During this period I have honed my skills teaching in open water, gaining a greater understanding of how best to encourage and instil confidence in others wanting to sea swim themselves.
My love for swimming and the great feeling that sea swimming can give you is the reason I have started Swim Wild Cornwall, I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience this amazing activity.
