Ellie Wills

I am originally from York but moved to Cornwall last year to study marine biology, which has always been a passion of mine.

I am a strong and confident swimmer. My Dad encouraged me from an early age to try new things and passed on his love for the sea. I have always enjoyed taking part in many water sports activities including sailing, windsurfing and paddle boarding. I am planning to start sea swimming, which will be a new sport for me.

I have been a qualified lifeguard since 2019 and recently passed my STA award to teach swimming. I believe it is key that everyone has the basic knowledge of swimming strokes and water safety skills.

I am excited to utilise my new skills in teaching swimming to children. Being part of the children’s’ swimming journey from the start will be a privilege, motivating them through my sense of fun and love of the water. I will create a safe environment to give children the best understanding of water safety and to progress their swimming skills.
