Georgie Ardley

Swim Wild Academy Instructor

“I learnt to swim before I could walk and that started a lifelong love for swimming and the water.

Born and raised in Essex I was a pool swimmer as a child but always loved swimming in the sea on my summer holidays in the West Country. After discovering the joy of open water swimming again as an adult my move down to Cornwall in 2018 only encouraged it to flourish.

It was after moving that I made teaching swimming my full time career and passing on my passion has been brilliant. I teach children in the swim school environment and also in 1-2-1 lessons in the sea during the summer. I also enjoy passing on my open water swimming knowledge to adults in both groups and 1-2-1 sessions.

The sea is a really important part of my life and passing this on to others brings me great happiness. It is important to me that everyone be safe in and around the water so they can relax and enjoy it. This is why water safety and skill is so important to me. The water has got me through so many hard times in my life. I hope, through my teaching, others can benefit from it in the same way I have.

I can’t wait to meet you and get started.”
