Swim Wild First Dip

Would you love to swim in the sea but are too nervous and lack the confidence and skills to get started? Do you look at Instagram posts of sunny sea swims and wish you could get in for a paddle?

If yes… Our First Dip programme is for you.

Starting with basic open water confidence building techniques we will gradually increase distance and depth so that you are comfortable and able to swim independently. The instructor will not rush you to step out of your comfort zone but offer gentle encouragement and advice so that you are in control of how quickly you progress.

During First Dip sessions you will also learn some basic water safety skills and knowledge so that you know how to keep yourself out of danger in the future.

First Dip sessions can be done on a 1:1 basis or come along with a friend for a 1:2 session.

I had an open water swimming lesson with Swim Wild Cornwall and it substantially helped me improve my front crawl. Charlotte my instructor was really communicative and the exercises she suggested made me focus on my stroke and breathing. She also had some really useful tips which I have been implementing into my swimming when on my own. My 12 year old niece also had a lesson with her at a different time to help her improve her breast stroke and confidence in the water. She was brilliant and really enjoyed the session, it gave her the confidence to tackle much longer swims and to be comfortable with open water swimming. The location that Swim Wild Cornwall choose for the lesson was really picturesque and sheltered. I would highly recommend a lesson!
